Shark Attack: How Sharks Approach Team Totals in the NFL

In yesterday's Shark Attack we discussed team totals in college football.   Let's isolate a use of the team total in the Bears/Vikings game by showing a situation where your opinion might not fit a traditional full game over/under, but a team total might make great sense.

It is tough not to be impressed by the performance of Rex Grossman so far.  The Chicago quarterback has led the Bears to an average of 30 points per game in their first two contests, and the Bears gain a gaudy 9.9 yards per pass attempt.  Now playing in the perfect conditions of Minneapolis' Metrodome, you think the Bears might score a lot of points against the Vikings beat up defense.  So you can bet the Bears, but as the Vikes offense has struggled, and the Bears D dominates, you are hesitant to bet over 35½.  A team total gives you the option to bet an over/under on just the Bears.   In this game the Bears team total is 19 points.  So instead of betting the game over 35½, the Bears to score over 19 may be a better fit for your opinion.

Check out the NFL team totals at Pinnacle Sportsbook, and remember that Pinnacle also has team totals on every college football game as well.  A 10% bonus is also available if you decide to play at Pinnacle Sportsbook with NFL juice at –104 and all other sports at –105 juice.

Good luck in the Sunday NFL action ... - the Sportsbook Shark.
